Bio

PETER GREBENYUK is a versatile multi-genre guitarist based in Kansas City. While guitar is his main instrument, Grebenyuk is also formally  trained in piano, double bass, bass guitar and vocals.  Grebenyuk is the founder and leader of progressive rock band Lorraine-Dietrich. With Lorraine-Dietrich Grebenyuk has recorded and released two albums and is currently working on the third that is soon to be released. He is the sole composer, lyricist, and arranger of all Lorraine-Dietrich music. 

Grebenyuk holds the Certificates in Recording Arts and Digital Marketing from Johnson County Community College (JCCC) and in Arts Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) . With the skills attained he records, mixes, masters, promotes all of his own music and manages Lorraine-Dietrich project. 

In the spring of 2026 Grebenyuk has graduated from the UMKC Conservatory with a Bachelor's Degree in jazz performance. Watch his Conservatory Senior Recital here. As a jazz major, Grebenyuk often performed with his fellow students locally and internationally on small and big stages such as Folly Theater and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City. In May 2025 Grebenyuk was chosen to represent UMKC Jazz Program at the jazz festival in Switzerland. 

Grebenyuk is a touring member of the band Igor & The Red Elvises since 2023. He has already performed a total of around 150 shows with them on guitar/bass guitar/bass balalaika. He is joining the band again on tours in the summer and fall of 2026, and all year in 2027.
